Last weekend we saw "Le Concert", a French/Russian movie. I liked it and it was nice to have som subtitles. Obviously there were subtitles when the actors spoke Russian, but even when the Russians spoke French there were subtitles (in French). But when the French spoke French there weren't any. But I was thankful for what I got!.
The movie was about this Russian man who used to be a famous concert conductor during the Bolshevik era but has been degraded to a cleaner. One day he gets a kind of second chance and he goes to Paris with his old orchestra.
I söndags såg vi "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", med Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law och Colin Farrell som en och samma person. Filmen började spelas in innan Heath Ledgers död, filmen skrevs om och de andra tre tog över hans roll. Eftersom filmen var dubbad så förstod jag inte jättemycket, men tillräckligt för att veta att jag tyckte om den och att jag definitivt kommer att se om den på engelska!
This sunday we saw "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", with Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Jude Law och Colin Farrell as one and the same person. The film started filming before the death of Heath Ledger, was rewritten and the three others took over his role. Since the film was dubbed I didn't understand a whole lot, but enough to know that I liked the mover and that I will definitely see it again in English!
Och i måndags såg vi "Le Petit Nicolas" som är baserad på böckerna med samma namn. Vi såg den med våran franska klass och jag förstod en hel del eftersom det är franska anpassad för barn. Fin film och jag gillade den. (den också!)
And this monday we saw "Le Petit Nicolas", which is based on the books with the same name. Se saw it with our French class and I understood quite a lot since it was French adapted for children. Nice movie and I liked it. (that one too!)

Oh yeah, I saw a rugby match! I had no idea of the rules (still don't know much) but it was an
interesting experience. Pau a.k.a. La Section won against Bordeaux!

det var ett tag sen sist / long time no see
Eller, pappa och Simon var ju här för ett par veckor sedan!! Det var mycket kul!
yeah, I wasn't so good at this blog thing! ;) But that's because nothing in particular has been going on that's worth reporting. It's been a lot of everyday life and school.
Or, my dad and Simon were here visiting a couple of weeks ago!! It was a lot of fun!
Första dagen de var här stannade vi i Pau och besökte bland annat slottet ovan, men även Musée Bernadotte! Äntligen! Jag tog mig dit! Det enda som krävdes var några besökare från Sverige!
The first day we stayed in Pau and visited among other things the castle above, but also Musée Bernadotte! Finally! I made it there! All it took was visitors from Sweden!
Dag 2 hyrde vi en bil och körde runt i området. Vi började med att köra till Oloron St Marie och sedan vidare upp i Pyrenéerna. Vi körde på enfiliga vägar utan vägräcken....
Day 2 we rented a car and drove around in the area. We began by driving to Oloron St Marie och then we continued up to the Pyrenées. We drove on one-lane roads without any railings...
Vi tog oss ut till kusten och såg solnedgången vid havet /
We found our way to the coast and saw the sunset at the sea
Historia: Det var i Lourde som St. Bernadette såg Jungru Maria och det är en av de största vallfärdsorterna för Kristna. Många krymplingar kommer hit för att bli botade i det "heliga vattnet", och det finns rapporter om mirakel och folk som blivit av med sina handikapp.
Pappa skulle promt ta sig ett bad i det iskalla heliga vattnet. Jag och Simon avstod. Eftersom högsäsongen för pilgrimmer var slut så var kön inte så lång och han kunde ta sig ett bad. Jag nöjde mig med att dricka av och tvätta ansiktet (som St. Bernadette) i det heliga vattnet.
Day 3 we went to the miracle place Lourdes. My dad had wanted to go there since he was young (in other words, a long time ;)) SO when I told him where Pau was located and and that it is only 30 min to Lourdes he immediately planned to visit!
History: It was in Lourdes that St. Bernadette has several visions of the Virgin Mary and it is one of the worlds largest pillgrimmage sites for Christians. Many cripples also come here to be cured in the "holy water" and there are reports of miracles and people being cured.
Dad absolutely had to have a bath in the ice-cold holy water. Me and Simon refrained. Since the high-season for pilgrims was over the que wasn't that long and he could have his bath. I settled with drinking and washing my face (as St. Bernadette did) in the holy water.
Efter utflykten till Lourdes så återvände vi till Pau för att äta middag med några av mina kompisar. Det blev lyckat från båda håll. Mina vänner gillade pappa och Simon. Och Simon och pappa gillade mina kompisar! (Lyckat förutom att jag råkade beställa Andouilette (inälvskorv))
After the outing to Lourdes we returned to Pau to have dinner with some of my friends. It was a sucess from both sides. My friends liked my dad and Simon. And SImon and my dad liked my friends! (Sucess except I happened to order Andouillette (tripe sausage))
Sedan var det tyvärr dags för dem att åka hem tidigt lördag morgon.
Then it was unfortunatly time for them to leave and go back home early saturday morning!
